If we stop spending money of useless wars and corporate enterprises that we don't need, then we would have enough money to make college completely free. According to the article “Make Public College Tuition Free” (MPCTF) “making college tuition-free would cost less than what we already spend on the patchwork of financial aid programs we currently support” (Bryant). That means that if we make public college tuition free to all it would cost less that we are currently spending and we could save millions in grants and loan debts. The cost of making college free maybe cheaper than we could have expected because as the article “Free Higher Education is a Human right “explains “ If public colleges and universities were to be made available to qualified students without charging tuition the total cost would be an estimated $62.6 billion. Approximately $69 billion is spent each year on government aid to students” (Eskow). The price of tuition is not always paid off by student aid and some of it comes from outside senders or the student or their family, so the cost could save money for more than just the student. Because of all the money saved instead of paying off those student debt we could make college free and save everyone money.
